Blaine Event Photographer~ Memorial Day Murph, Crossfit Blaine {Sneak Peek}

I was asked a while back to shoot for a Crossfit event a little different than your typical competition or throw down.  This event was on Memorial Day, as it is every year in honor of LT. Michael P. Murphy, who lost his life tragically and heroically on June 28th 2005. To read a little more about LT. Michael P. Murphy click here.

The workout consists of a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another 1 mile run!  To say it was brutal to watch would be an understatement.  People that know me, know I love fitness and athletic things, but this, this looked intense.  There was a large turn out for this amazing event; where family, friends and competitors all joined to raise money and honor LT. Michael P. Murphy.  Memorial day also symbolizes a time where we remember and memorialize those courageous men and women that lost their lives while serving.

Here is a little peek into some of the sweat and tears that followed this kick ass workout.  Good job to all of those that participated and also a huge thank you to those that sponsored or donated time and product for this event.  Rick of Crossfit Blaine also needs to be recognized, not only for hosting the event, participating in the event, but also for being such a down to earth real and raw person.  If you are looking for someone that you can trust and that you want to help with a body transformation look him up, you won't be sorry!  You can find the Crossfit Blaine information here
